Detroit’s Got Talent FREE Youth Performing Arts Conference
October 26-27 at Wayne State UniversityThis fall Metro-Detroit young performing artists have the unique opportunity to learn from award-winning professional musicians, dancers, rappers, and vocalists at the Detroit’s Got Talent Youth Performing Arts Conference, October 26-27 at Wayne State University.
Day One: Educational Music Field Trip -Friday October 26, 2012 – 8am-3pm
Day Two: Talent Competition Finale & Benefit Concert Featuring Grammy-Winner Bassman Terrance Palmer & Friends - Saturday October 27, 2012 – 6pm
Workshop Content Includes:
- Instrumental Session ~ tone, clarity, range, sound, timing
- Vocal Session ~ voice control, stage appearance, confidence, pitch
- Dance Session ~ choreography, routine, originality, technique, movement
- Rap Session ~ creativity, performance, clarity, audience response
Criteria to Attend:
Students grade 6-12 are eligible to apply online at www.detroits-got-talent.com. Students will be required to write a short narrative as to why they want to attend, and acquire a recommendation from a teacher.
