Boston Symphony Orchestra Conducting WorkshopThe BSO'sConducting Workshop with Thomas Wilkins serves as a resource formusic educators from around the Greater Boston Area, offering theopportunity to learn conducting methods and techniques fromGermeshausen Youth and Family Concerts Conductor Thomas Wilkins ina focused workshop setting.
The workshop provides anopportunity for educators and Maestro Wilkins to interact directlyin a learning atmosphere of mutual respect and professionalism,  allowing the BSO to serve as a source of professional developmentfor area educators, and seeks to build an informal network ofsupport and collaboration among area teachers from a wide varietyof districts and backgrounds.

The conducting workshop is one sessionoffered in the larger BSO Symposium Series for Educators. Theaudience for this session has been expanded to invite musiceducators and local amateur conductors, all free of charge. Theworkshop has been designed to put Thomas Wilkins in directconnection with music educators and amateur conductors from thegreater Boston area, allowing Maestro Wilkins to share hisexpertise and connect personally with this audience.
